BRAHIMI IN THE AFRICAN TOP TEN
The Algerian winger was nominated by the magazine “Jeune Afrique” for the season played at FC Porto
The magazine “Jeune Afrique” places Yacine Brahimi among the ten African players that had the best season in 2014/15 in European football. The white and blue winger is one of the Algerian representatives, along with Sofiane Feghouli, in the list disclosed.
So far, the number 8 for FC Porto has played 41 matches and scored 13 goals, six of them for the UEFA Champions League. This season, Brahimi was handed several awards, having been appointed 2013 BBC African Footballer of the Year, 2013/14 African Player of the Spanish League and 2014 Arab Player of the Year.
The Top Ten of African Players chosen by “Jeune Afrique” is formed by Clinton Njié (Lyon), Mehdi Benatia (AS Roma), Yacine Brahimi (FC Porto), Sofiane Feghouli (Valencia), Ayem Abdennour (AS Monaco), André Ayew (Marseille), Vincent Eneyeama (Lille), Yannick Bolasie (Crystal Palace), Neeskeans Kebano (Charleroi) and Didier Drogba (Chelsea).
